From colombia to Mexico, Narcos a Netflix original series, is a story about business: the drug smuggling business.

From town to town, from country to country, Narcos is all about finding the most ingenious and safer way to export and sell drugs.

It’s a business without borders.

THE IDEA

So for the launch of the new season of Narcos, Narcos: Mexico, we decided to learn from the cartels and be as unpredictable as possible, on a new drug route: the sea.

« Route du Rhum: a boat in the colours of the Narcos series »

By sponsoring a boat and its skipper on one the most famous ocean races: La Route du Rhum. A ruthless 6560km race, with more that 2 million viewers across all medias.

The kind of partnership was a “never seen before” in the sailing world.

The operation was mentioned more than 200 times in the press and watched by 2.5 million people on television.

Before the start of the race, people where already taking pictures with the boat, including a french tv celebrity, as well as the local “deputy” city mayor.

TEASING / SOCIAL AMPLIFICATION

To announce the partnership and amplify the campaign on NetflixFR’s social channels, we created a social video, telling the story of this new and special competitor in the Route du Rhum.
