BLACK MIRROR NEWS

Black Mirror, the dystopian Netflix original series, perfectly examines the darkest instincts of society and human consciousness. The more we progress through the seasons, the closer its future is to our reality.

Thanks to this anticipation ability, the show became a society phenomenon, so much that people use it to define our reality.

THE IDEA

To promote the fifth season of Black Mirror, we will show that the future is already here, by using real press headlines.

We used existing french newspaper headlines, that echo Black Mirror episodes, to make a national disturbing campaign.

The campaign generated a lot of reactions from the French people, especially in the cities mentioned by the campaign’s press titles, such as Nice, Rennes, Douai.

SOCIAL AMPLIFICATION

To amplify our campaign on NetflixFR’s social channels, we have adapted our concept in a Fiction vs Reality video. In this social video, we showed the parallels between the Black Mirror stories imagined by Charlie Brooker, and recent news from our world.

An idea so much « newspaper » in his DNA had to finish in the French newspapers.
This is what we have done by creating fake CNEWS and 20Minutes front-page headlines, using real press articles published in these newspapers.
